Filter Packages are designed to filter all circulating fluid in the hydraulic power systems to prevent system fluid contamination due to particles coming from utilities. In order to guarantee the fluid class required, the filtration rate is set according to technical specification requirements.

Filter Packages include disposable or cleanable filter elements, clogging indicators (either electrical or visual type), by-pass valves, pressure and temperature sensors and ground servicing quick disconnects.

The differential pressure clogging indicators can provide a remote electrical indication of impending clogging of the filter element when the differential pressure across them exceeds a predetermined value. In addition, a Thermal lockout prevents actuation by a preset temperature value with fluid falling temperature and permits actuation by a preset temperature value with fluid rising temperature.

The Relief Valve, in the event of an overpressure, can open the circuit to allow the discharge of pressurized oil from the outlet port of the Delivery Hydraulic filter to the inlet port of the Return Hydraulic Filter.

The Return Hydraulic Filter is generally equipped with a By-Pass Valve in parallel to allow fluid flow if the Filter Element is occluded.
